Your soul is the reason why you’re even on this journey in the first place-to find peace, love, and joy for yourself.

-Joseph Nguyen

What is your approach to therapy?

Love Roots Therapy provides a Psychotherapy approach to help identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. There are so many obstacles and challenges that we all face. In psychotherapy, we strive to create an environment that is welcoming and comfortable to our clients. Every client is treated on an individual basis depending on their need and concern. We provide a flexible and easy approach in order to alleviate any fears of what therapy is about. We want to bring kindness and openness to all. We continuously work to hold ourselves accountable in keeping with our values of Love and Authenticity and we hope that you can join this journey with us.

Do you take insurance?

Yes! We take Optum, Aetna, Cigna, BCBS, and United.

What is your cost?

In general, you will find that the cost of therapy varies between professionals based on a few different factors (therapist's licensure status, the amount of certifications they have or specialty training they have completed, and more).

We believe that therapy is an investment, but one in which the benefits will repay you twofold if you accomplish the goals and change you desire. We value your time, our time, and the services we have to offer, and charge accordingly. We also have masters level student interns who offer reduced rates for all services.

Does Love Roots Therapy offer online counseling sessions?

Yes, we offer online and in person therapy sessions.

How long are sessions?

Typically sessions last between 50-55 minutes. Clients often attend sessions once per week. Of course, based on your specific needs and resources (time, financial, etc.), you may work out a different plan with your therapist. Most therapists spend the first session or two gathering information about why you are seeking therapy, what your goals are, information about any symptoms you might be having, and some background information about your life experiences. You will work together to create a plan based on what you need. Every therapist has a little bit of a different style and personality. It’s important to see someone who feels like a good fit. You should feel like your therapist “gets” you. Sometimes it’s helpful to meet with one or two people at first before settling in to the therapist who feels like the best fit.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that you try and cancel 24 hours before your session. Last minute cancelations or no shows are charged their full fee for the session.

Is counseling confidential?

Will my information be kept private?

Yes, counseling is generally confidential. Confidentiality is a crucial aspect of the counseling relationship and is upheld by ethical and legal standards. Counselors are bound by professional ethics and legal regulations to maintain client confidentiality. This means that they must keep all information shared by clients during counseling sessions private and not disclose it to third parties without the client's consent.

While counselors strive to maintain confidentiality, there are certain situations where they may be legally and ethically obligated to breach confidentiality. These situations typically include:

a. If there is a risk of harm to the client or others: Counselors have a duty to protect individuals from serious harm. If a client expresses an intent to harm themselves or someone else, we may need to take appropriate action, which may involve breaking confidentiality to ensure safety.

b. If there is suspected child abuse or neglect: We are required to report any suspected child abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of the child.

c. If a court order or legal requirement is in place: In certain legal circumstances, such as court proceedings or subpoenas, we may be obligated to disclose information as required by law.

Does Love Roots Therapy offer psychiatry services like medication management?

No, we are LPC’s so our license does not allow for us to do so but we do have psychiatric referrals and we can work with them to create a wellness plan for our clients.

Requesting Letters of Explanation Policy

We request a 3 session minimum for letters of explanation.

Please provide a one week notice for the therapist to gather requested information.
